I have this as an EDP, bought a year ago so it has had time to macerate. Worn it in the recent heatwave and a lady asked me what it was - I told her, and told her about the bundles in extrait - she said they would make perfect Christmas gifts as stocking fillers and were really affordable. If I got one of these for Christmas, I would be thrilled too!
Never smelt the original but this is lovely. Creamy pistachio, similar to kulfi ice cream. This and tonka cola by mancera, Tommy Iommi, lush cherry all get 10's from me
I love a bargain and to be able to buy 3 of my favourite perfumes - in attractive 60ml extract bottles - at such a great price made my day. Many thanks Perfume Parlour for your wonderful selection of fabulous 'clones'. I have told so many people about your company.
I love the spray version of this but really wasn't impressed with the oil. It just smelt different from the first time I opened it and that smell changed to something I didn't recognise after a while. Ended up in the bin. I normally love perfume parlour stuff so will stick to the spray from now on
Been looking for this since they changed the formula in 2012.
I’d say about 95% bang on.
Ah the memories. Very much a blast from the past. Love it
Just received a sample to see if I could wear it, but for me at least, it seems like it leans more masculine, so I've recommended it to my partner who loves it. It's a very handsome fragrance, opulent, enigmatic and sensual. Very woodsy and earthy but with an evocative waft of incense. It has a masculine energy but could be worn by a guy, a badass woman, or anyone wanting to project that kind of vibe.
I bought this dupe based on a review somewhere describing it as "gothic", and "femme fatale" etc. I've not tried the original so can't comment on how accurate a dupe it is, but I can say it is an absolutely beautiful scent. It is quite similar to Comme Des Garcons - Avignon----in that it has a church-like incense vibe mixed with vanilla----but warmer, with more vanilla as it dried down. It also reminds me a little of Tom Ford Sahara Noir, but much softer and sweeter. The original is apparently exclusive to the Middle-Eastern market? So I guess it also has that kind of vibe. It's definitely a unisex scent that would work on any gender, but it might be a bit much for some people. In summary: sexy, smoky, sweet and mysterious.
