I was taken aback with the opening at first - it lacked a lot of the characteristics of the original, however it all unfolds in the dry down, especially after maceration. I’d say this isn’t the most accurate PP rendition but still a beautiful scent with about 80% similarity to the original.

I expected more from this but was very average.all I seemed to get is vanilla.wouldn’t repurchase

Bought the EDP tester to see if I would like it, and I like it. The fragrance to my nose has a cocoa powdery smell with essences of vanilla, it is obviously a little more complex than this. The longevity was very good. I sprayed it on my skin plus a Hoodie that I was wearing and I could still smell the fragrance the next morning on the hoodie.

I’m not a great fan of unisex scents. They’re usually too masculine for my tastes or they are a mishmash that doesn’t really work for men or women. But I was attracted by the very good reviews about the original. So I bought the oil. In my view Great Evening does work for men and women who are into amber scents. But it’s not for customers who prefer floral or fresh, clean scents. It is a soft, aromatic scent. It’s made up of all the amber notes like vanilla, and resinous benzoin, tonka bean and labdanum. They create a rich, spicy, powdery dry down, evening scent for the cool weather. This scent begins with a unique blend of soft spice and a hint of lavender. The labdanum resin adds a slightly woody, slightly musky and sweet note. The benzoin adds a sweet, soft, cinnamon note. The Tonka bean is a wonderful aromatic spice that combines the scents of vanilla, almond and/or marzipan, cinnamon and cloves. I also get a hint of lavender in the beginning. Vanilla and lavender are known to be two notes that really work well with this amber accord of notes. All of these notes combine to create a very soft, warm, comforting scent. Some people also find this amber combination animalic and sexy. As it dries down it becomes more and more powdery and feminine. PP have done a fine job of combining all these elements. I’ve been wearing it in the cool weather at the moment and receiving compliments. It also has the three elements I prize. It’s elegant, classy and smells expensive. 75ml of the original will cost you £185 at John Lewis.

Tested side by side with the original, after 15 minutes its really hard to tell them apart but maybe the original has slightly more depth to it. Longevity on the original is abit better but if I left my PP spray to mature I believe the performance would improve so its unfair test because 'ive had my original for a long time.

Once my PP spray runs out , I will probably order a larger bottle of the extrait version ****

This is my 4th purchase of grand soir perfume oil. I do have a bottle of the original, but only a small amount left. Once applied, and dried down, the majority of people would be hard pressed to tell them apart. Great longevity and silage. Always garners compliments, but I chose to wear it because I adore this scent. Smells very classy, unique and expensive! Not always easy to get your hands on an original bottle, but having tried PP version, I won’t buy the original ever again. Very suitable for evenings and cooler days. Unisex. I find a little goes a long way, as very potent. One of my all time favourites. Thank you PP

I absolutely love this one. Long long lasting (10 hrs - 12 hrs on skin) and smell incredible. A blind buy for sure!!!

classy dark and amber for a great evening in cooler nights.

Opens up with a blast of spice that feel more at home in a deodorant stick and mellows out into a slightly spicy vanilla amber.

Bought the spray. Great scent, but much too weak. Poor sillage and longivity.

I do not know the original. The beginning is nice and fresh, unfortunately the scent disappears within 20 minutes. Too bad.

This one is not for me. The first minutes are really nice, but than it turns to cheap shower gel for men on my skin. Don’t get me wrong, it is not bad scent and
has long lasting power - but I expected something sweet and balsamic and got something very masculin.

There is no clone to my favorite perfume (Rouge malachite Armani prive) but this one is Similar. If you have the same problem, Here you Go.
