Lose Control - 1459

This is a pure cardamon BOMB! Personally, I find this scent completely unpalatable. From the outset the overpowering cardamon note is front and centre and I find it hard to detect any other notes through this onslaught. The scent projects well at first and easily lasts for nine hours, with it still present in the air around you.

PPs version, like some of their other offerings is completely devoid of the opening. Which in this case is no loss, as I found the original scent’s opening a little nothingy. Instead you head straight to a couple of minutes in, where the cardamon creeps out of nowhere and punches you in the face. Having recently smelt the original I can confirm the accuracy of PP’s version, minus the opening.

I wanted to base my reviews on more than just an unmeasured opinion, so I have used this method to rate all of my purchases at week 1 (under 7 days after delivery) and after week 4 (generally mentioned ‘maceration’ time). I always spray 2x each side in the clavicle, 1x behind each ear and the back of my neck, never on clothes.

With a total score of 10 equally split between smell and performance.

I can certainly say that, without exception, every scent has improved in performance between weeks 1 & 4 and by week 12 many have developed further with tobacco and other warm notes becoming much richer.

Bought the extrait back in August 25 and was soooo disappointed. I actually thought that ‘lose control’ was linked to bowel movement!! Dreadful opening and letting it sit for 30 mins on skin was no better. Stuck it in the back of the cupboard. BUT …. now January 26 and tried it again. Still the dreadful opening smell, but it settles nicely after 15 minutes. Booom!! Beautiful and thinking of getting a back-up bottle!

One of the best EDPs I've tried from PP so far. As others have said, strong cardamom opening, which softens considerably in 10-15 minutes. I get some ground coffee beans, subtle, but in a way they make the sharper cardamom a little more rounded. Vanilla comes out in the drydown beautifully.
Many compliments on the scent, though others have described it as "sweet floral" on me (non-perfume people, however). Sillage is quite good, applied in the afternoon and skin scent still lingered the morning after.
This is definitely a scent I'll purchase in a bigger size, maybe try out the extrait too.

I have not smelled the original but watched plenty of reviews on it.
Lose Control starts off a bit harsh but mellows into a gorgeous scent after the dry down. The only reason I'm not rating it at 5 stars is became I am missing the coffee notes that many of the OG reviews mention.
In fact, Lose Control is almost entirely about cardamom that is eventually complemented by some vanilla accords after the dry down.

The opening is a bit harsh, but after few minutes it develops smoothly and gets very close to the original.

This is just beautiful.I don’t smell any coffee just cardamom with cinnamon and ordered my third bottle today.I wear it alone or layer with my other perfumes.Very subtle beautiful smell.

The reviews are in and believe them, this frag is gorgeous I can't stop going in for a wiff. I'm not the best when noticing or describing notes so look at other reviews for that, but what i get from this is perfect for an autumn/winter date night. If you're meeting up with a lovely lady for a few drinks wear this, it's so inviting and addictive

Such a great scent. At first the cardamom note was very dominant but I tried it half year later and it is more subtle. I love cardamom so I loved it at the beginning too, but now it is perfect. Thank you PP

Really love this version of Killian’s perfume. Strong, long lasting. Recommend PP’s version.

have not tried the original & bought this based on the notes expecting a warm unisex gourmand. I use ground cardamom in baking to boost cinnamon flavor -- the cardamom you're getting here is nothing like that, it's very green and this fragrance screams "aftershave!" on application. The cinnamon adds warmth and dimension in the drydown but green-ness remains in the foreground and it's a distinctly masculine scent at all stages. I can't detect a coffee note at all. As with most PP oils, sillage and longevity are excellent.

Lovely scent. I have not tried the original but this one is very sweet and amazing. Lots of cardamom and cinnamon, but I cant seem to find the coffee. Delicious scent!

Yesterday i tried the original. After using PP lose control oil and spray for over a month, i have to say is similar 95% to the original. Lose control is brighter in the opening, creamier and the cardamom note is higher. In The drydown is 98% similar. The longevity is good. The original is smoother, but i prefer PP, as i said brighter and even more apealing to my nose. Welldone Perfumes Parlour!! In LOVE with Lose control. I prefer the oil over the spray.

Took a little time, but I love him now.

This is my favorite purchase from PP so far. The scent is incredible and performance is really good.

Kinda bubblegumy vibe, not quite like the original

This is so far my favourit from PP. Wonderful rich scent with cinnamon and cardamom. This is truly christmas in a bottle. Lasts all day long on my skin.

Just Great!

This is a very beautiful scent in a manly kind of way. Not saying a woman couldn’t pull this one off but I am truly in love with it and I am a man. As it does share some of the same dna of Muglers Pure Havane to my nose, it goes in a more intoxicating direction. (pardon the pun) I have not smelled the By Kilian version but I will definitely be purchasing Lose Control again and again. If you find Pure Havane to be a pleasant scent then you too will fall in love with Lose Control 1459.

Very striking. Reminds me very much of Angel for Men which is very unisex and appealing.
